Today in wananga we did a poster on water safety for jellie park where we are going on Wednesday with school. My class is going with everyone in riroriro kahui which is the middle one of our school. 

Water pollution

Hi guys for the last few weeks we have been making our own paragraph about sustainability. My one was about water pollution how it work and what cause it , and Situation.

What cause water cycle 

The sun because it makes the water cycle work. The sun provides almost everything on earth and needs to have energy, or heat. The heat causes the liquid and frozen water to evaporate into the water vapor gas which rises high in the sky. So most of the water on Earth does not cycle and move from one place to another very rapidly. So which shows the average times that an individual water and molecule spends in each of the earth major our water.  

So the climate change  intensifies this cycle because of the air temperature increase, and more water evaporates into the air. The warmer air can hold more than the water vapor, So which can lead to more intense rainstorms, but causing a major problem of extreme flooding in the coast.The sun's heat causes glaciers to melt the snow into liquid into water vapor. So the water goes into the sea and  the stream. It is important because it enables the availability of water for all living organisms and regulates weather patterns on our planet.

What is the situation of water cycle

 So some of it seeps into the soil and where it is held underground as groundwater. When warmed by the sun, water on the surface of the ocean and freshwater bodies evaporates.

Colour and Lighting

When we first see the real world the colours were so dull and creepy.At the beginning they introduce coraline. The colours were so dull and natural. The only one that is standing out is coraline and the cat eyes. In the real world it is cold. In contrast when we first see our world .

When we first see the other world the colours were so bright. When coraline goes to the other world she feels welcoming and happy. When she was walking the colours were so bright. We felt that the other world is best then the real world because the real world was not bright.How ever the colours are changing. Coraline was happy to be they but when she realise that the other mother was not nice and rude.The other mother asked her if she wanted to put buttons in her eyes. Coraline was talking back to the other mother and the other mother got so so mad and she put coraline in this dark room with no lights but coraline saw a bed with the ghosts girls that the other mother ate. The colours were changing. We felt wired when the colours were changing but there was something wrong. It was getting scary and scary. So the other mother turned in to a needle spider.

What makes a good leader

       Budgeting language dictionary

So last week we have been learning about budgeting. Like have much you have or not. For need you need something that you want.

 

Budget - A certain amount of money you can spend for that period of time
Surplus - an amount of something left over when requirements have been met; an excess of production or supply.
Deficit - the amount by which something, especially a sum of money, is too small.
Spend - buying things that you want/need 
Savings - left over money that you don't spend, and so you save it up 
Wants - things you want to buy 
Needs - things that you need to buy to survive 

Coraline

 

In coraline shot and angles were used effectively.

For example the tilt angle is showing the other father pulling his face and showing what he is doing.

This shows that the character is a bit off. The director did this to show that the other world is not realistic.This could Compared With the other mother. When we met the other mother she was a bit off to.

It makes the character feel weird.  A tilt is a type of camera shot which involves setting the camera at an angle.

 Mālo ni! Since this week is Tokelauan Language Week. I've decided to make a DLO to teach you some words and phrases.

Arthritis

 In our science, Hurumanu 2 we have begun to look at the human body. This includes the skeleton, bones, muscles, circulatory system, blood, etc. Lately, we also began to look at a disease that could affect parts of the human body, that is Arthritis.What are the cause of arthritis: The arthritis cause OA, one of the most common forms of arthritis. The arthritis in the hands may also be caused by the rheumatoid arthritis. So many bones in the body,including the wrists and hands, so their are protected by the cartilage.

Coraline

The study of films continues so after the 2 tasks. What we are  focused on now is the theme and the idea that surrounds the movie and its plot.I was using canve to make my theme and ideas for the coraline movie. It just what i want to learn about films and theme in the movies. 

What am I learning?

The study of looking at the meaning and critically thinking about films. IM learning the meaning of the theme and the ideas.

Price for our business

 How did we work out what price we were going to sell our product at? So we deiced to sell out product for $2.00 and we were looking for the price to buy our supple.  My group and I worked out the price in of the result of the item descriptions’ price and the quantity of it; how much a certain material we are going to need in order to make our product just the way we imagined it to be. not because we have the same product because we know that people come up with the same idea with us . This is on product  

Place for business

 In our lesson in Business Studies, this is the third part of the assessment and I have finished it, I only need to do the fourth and last one. I've written quite a lot of information about the market day and our product, put up questions and then answered it myself. I have thought about the factors I need to consider regarding the products place.

Fingers

Today in science we are making hands out of papers. Miss Abernethy print out the hand paper so we can put straws on. How does your hand work and what are the parts?

Bones:

Tendons:
What is a tendon?
A tendon is a stringy connective tissue which attaches muscle of the forearm bone to the phalanges which let your fingers move up and down. Tendons also attach muscles to structures such as the eyeball.

The Marketing Mix

So in my business group we are making a product that is called lolly lei necklaces.It is a Samoan traditional. The product that we are  is making is lolly lei necklaces. What can my team do? umm they can do more lolly necklaces. How are they used? They are used for wearing around your neck.  We use the lollies that have the wrap on. So the other lolly dont melt. It is cool to wear it around your neck and then you can eat the lollies that are on the necklaces. It cost $ 2.00 it get the lolly lei necklaces. This is what it looks like. 

English FILM LANGUAGE

 Body language: Is when you communication  by movement  or a position and use it to identify the feeling of the other character.

Costumes: The clothes worn by the character to create a particular affect.

Hairstyle: Is similar to the costumes but it is your hairstyle that they do for the film.

Make - up: It is when you transform the actor to match the played character.

Colour: So used a set of mood of the scene. Like as blue is used for sad and red is for when you get mad.
 
Props :Using the definition of a prop is the person thing who provides support or holds something.

Lighting: Using the set of mood and often make something important to make it stand out so people think it a cool movie.

Setting : It can help the audience to understand the actions and emotional lives for the characters in the story.Most movie film consist of both a main setting and the minor setting. 

Dialogue: So it is elevate a plot or a reveal of something new about the character.  

Sound effects: Used to create a mood for the audience. So it make the movie so cool and that people that wants to watch.

Music:Also used to set a mood or describe an scene. 

Silence: Used to create a serious in acting  

Symbols:Often an object  that you use for the suggest of new ideas. 

Special FX: Also to create a more realistic to look for the film.

Why is there no more plastic

 Why are there no more plastic bags?

There are no plastic bags because it can kill our animals in the sea. It is not only harmful for our health but also for the health of our environment.

Why is the plastic bag not good for our environment?

Plastic bags tend to disrupt the environment in a serious way and They can get into soil really slowly and release the toxic chemicals.

How does it affect climate change?

So Sunlight and heat cause the plastic to release powerful greenhouse gases and the planet gets hotter. Then the plastic burns and it smells so bad.

Today for business we (Sharney, Lily, Tahnesha and I)  we have  created this poster, we made this to learn how to sell our company/what we created, we needed to learn this for the future if you wanted to be  a salesman or a businessman. 

Algebra in science

 For the past few weeks we have been working on velocity and how it cross references maths and science.We used a paper plane to record data on distance, speed and time really enjoyed working with Mr Carter and the paper plane. In my group I have Tehya and Myself, Megan. I had fun making the paper plan and doing maths with friend.

Creative Writing

So I was writing about a aliens invasion. We had our own choose to make our own story with the photo that my teacher gave us. This is my story.

One day there was a planet called a uboa planet . It was a creepy city like there were a lot of aliens there with guns.   I felt so scared and blood curdling. I was with the aliens and my friends. We were the last humans on Uboa plant. It was formidable .The terrifying aliens were looking for us. We ran away from them but they kept on following us. They kept on making these noises like blahuhuhuh but we didn't understand what they were saying. I heard people screaming and yelling so loud because the aliens took them away from there family . I smell blood and the city burning . We taste the smoke from the air. My blood was rushing down to my legs and arms but I didn't know what to do. We  survive the horror alien planets of uboa............

End of life referendum

Hi Guys today in hurumanu 6 we are learn about End of life referendum,as a class we went through the pros and cons listed below about the end of life referendum. It can affect others because they have been hurt before.
                       
Pros:
- You have to be 18+ and is a terminal illness
- People do not need to suffer
- A free choice about your own life, method and date and time for taking the medication
- Hard decisions are taken away from loved ones
- You can change your mind at the last minute
- You aren't forced to do it if you don't want to

Cons:
- Some doctors might not want to 
- It's still suicide
- Is against other people's beliefs and religion/values
- Can maybe take advantage of it by injecting it to someone else out of hatred
- Your loved ones don't have a choice but to accept your own decision to end your life
- Doctors can be guilty after doing it 

                      

Innovation Challenge

  

                                 Lollipop Innovation

• What is it? It is a lollipop on a stick  

How do you use  it?  So you hold the stick and then you eat the lollipop

 What I don't like about some lollipops: plastic

• Is there anything this product cannot do that you would like it to do.  I would like to have the stick as a chocolate stick so it can be easy to eat the whole thing. 

• The positive thing about this product is it has a good taste and it smells so yummy you can smell it from a mile away. 

• Is there anything we could add to or remove from this product to make it better. 

We can remove the plastic stick because if we use the plastic on the lollipop people just throw it in the water and the animals eat the plastic it gets stuck in the animals  and then we can put the chocolate stick on it. So the plastic cannot go in the water.

Advantages	Disadvantages
We can change the plastic stick to a chocolate stick. It will be easy if you eat the whole thing.	So we cannot use the plastic stick because it is not good for our environment.
