How to play Bench ball

Today in hurumanu we have played bench ball with BH. It was so fun to play. We won 1 game and we had to move around. 

1. Set-up the game. Put 2 benches at both ends of the gym. 

1. Make teams. Divide your group of people in 2 equal groups

1. Choose a catcher. Pick 1 person to stand on the opposite bench to catch the balls thrown

1. Start the game

1. Throw to your teammate

1. Prevent the catch

1. Falling off the bench 
2. Winning the game

 

Reaggie

On Tuesday the 28th of May, Reaggie Dabs came to our school to talk about bullying. We were playing amazing game ever it is called throw your friend under the bus. But I don't remember the other game that we played. To play throw your friend under the bus is when you have to answer  a question. It not like when you throw someone under the bus. The other games is when we had to sing a song when he is playing it.  We had to sing let it go and just the way you are. My favourite part was when he was do the games. It was so sad for me because he told his story. It made people cry. He a lovely man that I ever meet. I will like to say thank you to him because he comes to our school and tell us about his life when he was little. That he was talk about bullying. Bullying is not good it hurt people feeling. Stop bullying be kind to one other.

About my song that I made

Descriptive writing 27/5/19

L.O: Create a piece of writing that describes a place or setting inspired by your song.

It was like my head was going to explode, the music was loud as a lions roar. Shivers went down my spine as I hear a thunder sounds. It was like rock tumbling down the hill. I want to be silent forever but i can't be quiet. I felt like the ground is going to shake.

Garage band

Last week in hurumanu we have been using garage band. In my group I had Paige and Meleana, Myself. We had to include 3 Instruments, A beginning , Middle, Ending an ASMR sound and 3 other music.I hope you enjoyed our music that was made and I hope you can leave a comment. How to play ki o rahi.

2 teams with 8 players

The teams are called taniwha and Kioma.

Kaitiaki has to protect the tupu.

Set up Ki o rahi on the field.

Kioma is the team that have to hit the pou around the circle.

Taniwha try to hit the tupu in the middle.

If you get to 2 touch it is the other team ball.

When there try to touch the pou they have to try in the circle.
IT is so fun to play and we have enjoyed it.

Fo Guang Shan

On Tuesday the 14th the Years 7 and 8 were going to the Fo Guang Shan Temple. There was 7 /8Sh, 7/8Ts, 7/8Bh and last but not least 7/8Tz. We were in groups so Bh and Tz were in group two and Sh and Ts were in group one. We’ve learnt about 3G which means - Do good deeds, Say good words, Think good thoughts. 4Gs are Give confidence, Give joy, Give hope and Give convenience. We also made a flower out of paper that is called lotus flower. It is a flower that can float on water. We went outside to have some yummy cookies and then we had water the can keep you hydrated. When we were going upstairs to go and see the library it was so small that you can't fit lots of people In there.We saw some pretty art it was so amazing . We had some amazing people give us tour. We had this bell to blow. I like how they gave us a tour around the Temple it was so so cool. I really enjoyed. What I really enjoyed is when we were doing the lotus flower and for the second one it was the best one ever for me was relaxing…..

Hurumanu for PE

This term in Hurumanu we have been learning about Ki o rahi. It is a traditional Māori game. The game involves two teams called, Kioma and Taniwha. The two teams are battling to hit the tupu in the middle circle of the field. You have to run around lots there are pou and comes layed out in circles. Ki o rahi is a game that you have to run with the ball and try to scores a goal.So when you run with the ball you have to try and touch the pou. In my team I had Meleana, Jayden, Tevita, Vin, Tonga, Hans, Matangi and Miguel but last but not less it is Matt. We are the hornets we love the name of the hornets because the queen bee can talk the swarm  of bee to follow her. It is really hard to play but one day you will try the māori Ki o rahi game.You can do tackle or you can touch them.

What is a Asmr

1) Have you heard of ASMR before?
Yes I have listen to it.I heard that at home and at school. It fun to listen to it. I mostly watch ASMR it is satisfying.

2) What did you feel when you listened to the ASMR music?
I feel sleepy and my body was shaking. It was so relaxing when you heard it. When you eat something you get a crunchy sound.

3)  Is this something you'd like to try making?
Yes, because I will love to try and do it. But it sounds fun it making it. It fun you can do your own things by your self.

Today in hurumanu we are going to talk about musician and band from NZ. Today I have Stan walker for my musician and six60 the band.

So I'm going to start with Stan walker and then six60

Stan walker is his stage name and his date of birth is 23 October.10.1990 and the age he is now is 28.My favourite song is Thank you. I really like the message that is in his song. He got awards from Nz. He had the most popular Australian album and the most popular Australian single was let me play music.For the interesting is before fame : He had trouble in childhood that was in lnvolu bullying. Now it is six60.

  

The stage name is Six60. In the group members is Eli paewai, Ji fraser, Matiu Walters and Chris Mac. My favourite song is don't forget your roots. From they date formed is 2008. They have got some award in 2011 they rise up 2-0 don't forget your roots and then 2012 they sang don't forget your foots again. NZ music from six60. Interesting fact for the six60. Six60 is a five piece Nz band that formed in 2008. Their self trilled debut album was released on the 10th of October 2011 on their own label massive entertainment.
