Parihaka

For the last few weeks we have been learning about parihaka. About 1600 troops invaded the western taranaki settlement of parihaka. Which had to come to a symbolise peaceful resistance to the confiscation of Maori land.  Parihaka is known as a place in NZ but it is also why this place is often used as the name for a terrible event. Parihaka was a place of peace and it was a sacred place. This area was named and found by two spiritual leaders. 

Their names were Te Whiti and Tohu, They were very important people and were always worshipped till now. For their kindness, and way of peace.

Social studies

 There were many people around the tour and the teenage girl want to come to the tour. This tell us how important the Beatles are.

Model Atom

 Aim: To make a model atom 
Method: 
1. Choose an atom to make (one between Hydrogen and Neon)
2 work out how many protons, neutrons and electrons it has  
3. Assign protons and neutrons to  to particular colour bead 
4. Get a ball of blue tac and stick the protons and the neutrons to this to make your nucleus
5. Cut out the appropriate electron shells and draw on the electrons with vivid
6. Connect the nucleus and electron shells with a piece of string
7.Create a label to go above the model  so people know what you have created

Discussion:  I made a Helium. The Atomic number and the mass number is 1 and 1. The numbers for the protons and the electrons , neutrons. The number are 1 and 1 the neutrons is 0. The electrons arrangement so i had two dots on the top ring and i have two dots on the bottom ring.

Hi guys for the last few weeks we have been learning about slavery. They ships them to the states to do their dirty work but they cant do it them self.The ship would sail to the west  coast of Africa. People form the interior of Africa.In the middle of the ocean when the slavery are drying they take them of the ship to drop in the ocean. So the people from america makes the Africa do their job. The music is to express their feelings whether it was sorrow,joy. They songs that they were singing for the people that pass away.They were there to use them for money and they were picking cotton and sugar, tobacco. So Harriet Tubman helped 300 people to escape from the Americans. She made 19 trips into the south and escorted.Harriet Tubman is perhaps the most well-known of all the Underground Railroad.

Water safety at jelly park

Today in wananga we did a poster on water safety for jellie park where we are going on Wednesday with school. My class is going with everyone in riroriro kahui which is the middle one of our school. 

Water pollution

Hi guys for the last few weeks we have been making our own paragraph about sustainability. My one was about water pollution how it work and what cause it , and Situation.

What cause water cycle 

The sun because it makes the water cycle work. The sun provides almost everything on earth and needs to have energy, or heat. The heat causes the liquid and frozen water to evaporate into the water vapor gas which rises high in the sky. So most of the water on Earth does not cycle and move from one place to another very rapidly. So which shows the average times that an individual water and molecule spends in each of the earth major our water.  

So the climate change  intensifies this cycle because of the air temperature increase, and more water evaporates into the air. The warmer air can hold more than the water vapor, So which can lead to more intense rainstorms, but causing a major problem of extreme flooding in the coast.The sun's heat causes glaciers to melt the snow into liquid into water vapor. So the water goes into the sea and  the stream. It is important because it enables the availability of water for all living organisms and regulates weather patterns on our planet.

What is the situation of water cycle

 So some of it seeps into the soil and where it is held underground as groundwater. When warmed by the sun, water on the surface of the ocean and freshwater bodies evaporates.

Colour and Lighting

When we first see the real world the colours were so dull and creepy.At the beginning they introduce coraline. The colours were so dull and natural. The only one that is standing out is coraline and the cat eyes. In the real world it is cold. In contrast when we first see our world .

When we first see the other world the colours were so bright. When coraline goes to the other world she feels welcoming and happy. When she was walking the colours were so bright. We felt that the other world is best then the real world because the real world was not bright.How ever the colours are changing. Coraline was happy to be they but when she realise that the other mother was not nice and rude.The other mother asked her if she wanted to put buttons in her eyes. Coraline was talking back to the other mother and the other mother got so so mad and she put coraline in this dark room with no lights but coraline saw a bed with the ghosts girls that the other mother ate. The colours were changing. We felt wired when the colours were changing but there was something wrong. It was getting scary and scary. So the other mother turned in to a needle spider.
